Arona, the tourist municipality in the south of Tenerife, is preparing to host, from November 25 to December 8, the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro 2023.
It is a transversal event that unites sport, culture, social activism and environmental protection through various activities for two weeks.
Playa de las Américas, in Arona, is a privileged area of the Canary island of Tenerife. The municipality is located in the west of Tenerife, which usually receives waves from the west and northwest during the winter period. In addition, it is a swell with multiple peaks that guarantees optimal conditions for holding an event of these characteristics.
This year, the well-known Tenerife beach of Las Palmeras (Spanish Left) will host three independent tests in the same event and more than 300 surfers from all over the world are expected.
The competitions and their programming will be as follows:
Open Las Américas Pro, valid for the national circuit from November 25 to November 28.
Euromaster, for people over 35 years old, European Championship, from November 28 to December 3.
Eurokids, for children under 14. The novelty this year is that the under 14 category will crown the best male and female surfer in Europe, granting this official title for the first time. Dates: December 3 to December 8.
Since they are all official competitions, it is essential to have the corresponding license.
